During Phase 1 of the website development, the focus was on the application process and grant review process. The application process involved creating an account, taking an eligibility quiz, providing contact and organizational information, and selecting an area of focus for the project. The area of focus determined which intermediary (Tropicana, Africa Centre, BBI, or Groupe 3737) would handle the application. Applicants who selected Tropicana or Africa Centre could choose a preference, or the system would manually allocate them for a balanced representation. The grant review process involved eligibility reviews, scoring with a matrix, providing comments and recommended funding amounts, selecting top-scoring applications, and determining funding amounts. The Lead Grant Reviewer and committee members played key roles in reviewing and approving applications. Applicants were notified of the decision, and successful applicants signed the grant agreement using an electronic signature.

Task Group 2: Finalized Applicant Dashboard wireframes, access levels, and grant pages, allowing users to manage grants and applications. Client sign-off obtained for completed tasks.

Task Group 3: Fully developed Applicant Dashboard with profile, communications, programs, community (applicant membership), grants, resources, consultants, FAQ, settings, and help features. Community section for members established, along with interactions, microinteractions, and admin dashboard filters implemented.
